Hudud Law For Rakyat ?

  • Pas plans to implement the hudud if Pakatan Rakyat forms the Federal Government.
  • DAP's secretary-general Lim Guan Eng would contact de facto PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to seek a clarification on the matter. (As usual he will twist his answer)
  • PKR information chief said, the party and PR's stand was to uphold the sanctity of the Federal Constitution. (Federal Constitution which is include Malays Privilage, etc. So Hindraf's demand won't be entertained by PKR at anytime. As a conclusion, Hindraf was just a mask for PKR to win in the general election)

We are not comparing PR with BN, but we are surprised that they are not much differ from BN.

PAS's Hudud law in multiracial country - ridiculuos.

PKR's stand on uphold the sanctity of the Federal Constitution - this is what BN has been doing for the past 51 years too.

DAP's move to contact the De Facto Leader - this is what the component parties in BN doing by refering to the leader of BN who comes from UMNO.

.
Apa kata jika kita laksanakan sistem pendidikan tunggal iaitu Sekolah Inggeris.

Yoga - No Ban

A pleasant news for everyone. Thanks to PM. Majlis Fatwa must get an advice from their superior such as PM, DPM, Malay Rulers before issuing any statement.
Source : malaysiakini.com
Muslims can continue practising yoga as long as there are no elements of worship or mantras involved, said Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today.
Furthermore, the premier underscored the fact that yoga is good for health."I want to stress that any physical practice without the elements of worship can be continued, this means it is not haram (prohibited under Islam)," he told Bernama.
Abdullah was asked to respond on the controversy surrounding the National Fatwa Council's decision to ban Muslims from practising yoga .

Dilemma Pengharaman YOGA

MIC YOUTH SEEKS 10 PER CENT LOCAL COUNCIL CONTRACTS FOR INDIANS‏

MIC Youth today asked the government to allocate at least 10 per cent of local council contract jobs such as maintenance and landscaping to Indian contractors.
MIC Youth chief T. Mohan also said the wing proposed that the government create another class of contractors, similar to the Class F contractor for Bumiputeras, for the Indian community.
MIC Youth would write to the government on the matter next week, he told reporters after a meeting of the MIC Youth supreme council at the party headquarters here.
Mohan said these measures, when implemented, would help raise the living standard and equity ownership of the Indian community.
"These measures will help raise the income of the Indians and increase the purchasing power of the community," he said.
Mohan also said MIC Youth supported the statement by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak that he was working towards the gradual liberalisation of the New Economic Policy, which was replaced by the National Development Policy in 1991.

NST, October 18 2008
KUALA LUMPUR: MIC Youth demands an apology from Indian daily Malaysia Nanban and a beer company for an insensitive Deepavali advertisement that appeared in the newspaper yesterday.
They also lodged a police report against the newspaper and the Skol beer company claiming it was insulting to the Indian community. Its secretary, C. Shivarraj, said the advertisement by Skol printed on page 5 could lead to misperception on the Indian community as well as convey a wrong message to Indian youth."They are insulting the Hindus' Rangoli kolam by putting the beer bottles in the middle and stating that the Deepavali celebration will be more enjoyable with Skol beer," said Shivarraj at the Sentul police station here yesterday. He said members of the public who saw the advertisement might get the wrong idea that Indians were fond of drinking.Shivarraj added that Indian youth might also get the wrong idea that it was a norm to get drunk when they were adults."This misperception and wrong message of the Indian community must stop," said Shivarraj. He called for an apology from the newspaper and the beer company before Deepavali on Oct 27.The report was lodged by MIC Youth, Culture and Religion Bureau chief, K. HINDRAF Declared Illegal

The Hindu Rights Actions Force (Hindraf) has been declared an illegal organisation from today, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.
In a statement issued here, Syed Hamid said the decision to declare Hindraf as an illegal organisation was made following the ministry being satisfied with facts and evidence that showed Hindraf had and was being used for unlawful purposes and posed a threat to public order and morality.
“Based on powers vested under Section 5(1) of the Societies Act, Hindraf from today is declared an illegal organisation,” he said.
He said the order was being made as a result of monitoring and investigation on the organisation’s activities by the Registrar of Societies (ROs) and Home Ministry, since Hindraf’s inception.
Syed Hamid said if left unchecked, Hindraf would continue to pose a threat to public order, the security and sovereignty of the country as well as the prevailing racial harmony.
“The decision to declare Hindraf an illegal organisation is not based on one or two of its activities that are in contravention of the law but covers all the actions it has taken since being formed,” he said.
Syed Hamid said Hindraf had all the criteria of an organised movement because it had filed for registration with the ROS on Oct 16 last year.
The application had yet to be approved but Hindraf had actively exploited the Indian community to organise illegal assemblies and street demonstrations without permits to the point of causing a segment of the community to rise up against the Government and also hatred among the Malays and Indians in the country, he said.
“Hindraf has also tried to secure support from foreign countries for the purpose of pressuring the Government to bow to its demands,” he added.
Syed Hamid advised the public to distance themselves from Hindraf and not participate in any way in any of its activities. - Bernama

Tragedi Oktober : Anwar Ibrahim @ Mat Jenin

Itulah angan-angan Mat Jenin.

Possible Crossover : PR to BN

YB Zulkifli Nordin - MP Kulim Bandar Baru - PKR

He did not turn up in Parliament although his party boss, Anwar Ibrahim, was making his maiden speech. Neither could he be reached for comments on the Alor Star High Court decision to throw out a BN petition after the BN withdrew it, ensuring Zulkifli remain as MP. The BN was said to have a strong case against Zulkifli as he did not submit his elections expenditure from his 2004 polls. No reasons have been given for the BN's decision.
Unknown source saying that he might join BN.

Anwar not revealing new date

source : TheStar
KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim does not want to reveal the new date in which he proposes to take over the Federal Government.
When pressed by reporters, he said: “I will not mention it (the date). At the appropriate time ... we will see a change.
“If the people want a change ... no power can prevent and stop it,” he said at his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the Sultan Sulaiman Club in Kampung Baru here.
In Kota Baru last Friday, Anwar, the MP for Permatang Pauh and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) adviser, said Pakatan Rakyat would set up a new federal government before Hari Raya Aidiladha on Dec 8.
Pakatan Rakyat failed to set up the federal government on Sept 16 as it had stated earlier.

PM in waiting...

Candidate 1 : DS Anwar Ibrahim

According to the Bernama & TheStar DS Anwar Ibrahim has set a new dateline to takeover the Federal Government. He says, It will happen before end of this year (8th December 2008).

“It is not like something I will allow to linger for one or two years. The momentum will continue when the Parliament goes into session on Monday,” he told a large crowd during a rally at Padang Perdana here on Thursday night.

He repeated his assertion that he had the numbers to form the new government.

Anwar said the “takeover” approach would be peaceful because Malaysia could not afford the Thai or Filipino mob style.

Although his speech fired the crowd into wanting more, Anwar stopped short of detailing his “takeover” modus operandi, saying it would remain a secret until the time was right.

Candidate 2 : DS Najib Tun Abdul Razak

Abdullah announced on last Wednesday that he would not defend the Umno president post in the party elections in March next year, paving the way for Najib to contest the presidency and subsequently take over the chairmanship of the Barisan Nasional and helm the government as the prime minister.

"HARAPKAN PAGAR, PAGAR MAKAN PADI..
YB. ENCIK ARUMUGAM A/L VENGATARAKOO

Protest In Shah Alam - 29/09/08

YB Dr.Xavier Jayakumar said....

“This is a small issue compared with other more serious problems affecting the Indian community. Why don’t we look at the bigger picture?”

______________________________________________________________________________

When BN government demolished our temple.. it was a big issue for you... it was your agenda and campaigning strategy to win in the election..

But Now...

Pakatan Rakyat government did the same thing.. then u said it is a small issue...

Hard to digest your explanation...

Why ? Because you are in position now? The only Indian EXCO member ? Afraid of loosing it ? Defending your boss ?

We respect the most recent HINDRAF Chairman's statement regarding this issue.

Whether it is BN or PR.... demolishing temple is always wrong and not acceptable... MIC never agreed for any temple demolishment in this country... Wht had happened today in PR government is exactly wht had happened to MIC those days....Only 6 months after formed a government... 1 temple got demolished... No need to finger point anyone anymore.. Lets unite.. Save our temples...

YB Manickavasagam said... MIC is politicizing the temple issue... Come on YB.. you did use the temple issues to win indians heart too.. remember CDs tht has been distributed during the GE12 ? Remember Padang Jawa ? You are politician too.. dont blame MIC for highlighting this issue... MIC never asked you to resign from any position.. You are the one who said so.. then you are comparing yourself with MIC.. Pity to see that you failed to champion the temple issue this time.. Resigning the 'Timbalan Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan PKR Negeri Selangor' but maintaining the "Ahli Majlis Tertinggi PKR' and 'Ahli Parlimen' always seen as a political gimmic... try something else... Good luck

HOT NEWS ! Mr.Waythamoorthy challenged Dr.Xaview Jayakumar and Pakatan !

DR XAVIER JAYAKUMAR OF PAKATAN EXCO LOST THE PLOT ON TEMPLE “NOT REGISTERED ACCORDING TO THEIR FORMAT”. PAKATAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT FOLLOW THEIR PREDECESSORS ATTITUDE OF MISLEADING THE PEOPLE ON “REGISTER” ISSUE. IS PAKATAN GOVERNMENT WILLING TO LODGE POLICE REPORTS ON AMPANG JAYA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL??

HINDRAF is shocked with the statement made by Dr.Xavier Jayakumar which appears to echo that of the usual excuses given by BN and UMNO leaders that Temples are demolished because they are not “registered”.

We maintain our stand that there are no provisions currently under the Law to register the existence of a Temple and that this and all temples exist legally under Article 11 of the Federal Constitution. The issue of legality of a Temple does not exist at all and it is a duty of the Government to provide land and funds for places of worships belonging to any and all religious groups. The statement by Dr. Jayakumar that the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple is not registered with the Selangor State Council and that it did not fulfil the “format” of registration is a joke and makes a mockery of the basic right to worship of every citizen. It appears the Pakatan Government is singing the same tune of the previous Barisan Government in misleading the community to believe that the temple committee was at fault for not registering the temple.

We challenge Dr Jayakumar and his Pakatan Government to produce the necessary provisions of the state Law that stipulated the necessity of the so-called “format”. To add insult to injury he had the audacity to say this is not a Temple but a shrine. Is he trying to indicate that it was okay to demolish a shrine? How less is a shrine than a temple?? The problem with these politicians is they do not give a dam about the feelings of Hindus and the need to provide and gazette places of worships belonging to Hindus.

HINDRAF have specifically written to the 5 Pakatan led Governments to gazette all temples (which is directly under their purview) but till date they have not taken any positive steps to do the same and keep misleading the people in the same way BN did.

HINDRAF is taken aback with the statement that the MPAJ had ordered the demolition of the Temple without knowledge or directive of the state Government. If the statement of Dr.Xavier is true he should take the most responsible step by lodging police report and insist the police initiate criminal proceedings against MPAJ for their Criminal act under the penal Code for defiling a place of worship.

The statement by Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin justifying the demolition of the temple on grounds of misunderstanding between MPAJ and temple management on renovation works and documentation is another mockery. Is it consistent with good Governance to demolish a place of worship should there be a “misunderstanding”. Would anyone in MPAJ dare demolish a mosque?

HINDRAF hereby calls on the Selangor Government to stop playing politics and mislead the people and immediately gazette all places of worships and provide land and funding for the purposes of erection of places of worships belonging to Hindus and non-Muslims.

P. Waytha Moorthy
Chairman
HINDRAF

Sri Maha Kaliamman Hindu Temple Demolished

Most recent temple demolishing in Selangor by PAKATAN RAKYAT who championed the temple issue during GE-12. Wonder why Mr.P.Waythamoorthy and Mr.Thanenthiran havent issue any statement regarding this matter... errr... ooh yea... they might busy issuing other various statements... such as..

Mr.R.S.Thanenthiran's famous statements :

Putting the country back on the right track ?

Bro Thanenthiran, please ask Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim lead Pakatan Rakyat to kneel and beg for forgiveness too... because you sounds so perfect and fair.. so let us see your upcoming reaction for the Sri Maha Kaliamman Hindu Temple ...

923 - Emergency Session of Parliament

source : TheStar

Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the only way for Pakatan Rakyat to form the Federal Government was via an emergency session of Parliament to be convened by Tuesday for a no-confidence motion to be tabled against Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The date is a day before Anwar, who is the Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader, goes to court to face a sodomy charge,
He insisted yesterday that Pakatan Rakyat had the numbers to form a new government, adding that the names of the Barisan Nasional MPs who were ready to switch sides would be revealed in Parliament

Only the Prime Minister can call for an emergency parliamentary session, and even then he needs to give a 14-day notice.
Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said this was clearly stated in Article 11(3) of the Parliament Standing Orders.
“Only the Prime Minister has the power to call for an emergency meeting. There is no other way. It is only the Government of the day who can do it,” he said.

Terdapat wakil MCA,MIC.

DS Anwar Ibrahim :
  • I have more than 31 Barisan MPs have agreed to cross over to Pakatan Rakyat.
  • I am appealing (for this meeting with PM) in the name of political stability and a smooth transition. It will be preposterous for the Prime Minister to deny me this meeting.
  • I would even give the Prime Minister the names of Barisan MPs wanting to defect to the Pakatan Rakyat alliance of opposition parties.

DS Abdullah :

  • I don’t think he has the names. If he does, I don’t think he would wait to inform the people (of the names)
  • There is no reason for me to meet him because I don’t think he has the names. He is just getting the people to focus on him and his political ploy. I do not need to see him.
  • Reveal the names of the Barisan Nasional MPs the Opposition Leader claims are crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat.

Tengku Razaleigh :
  • Speaking about Anwar’s promise about a takeover by Sept 16, he said that if did not happen by the PKR adviser’s own self-imposed deadline, he should be branded a liar.
  • As for Umno itself, there is the so-called transition plan -- in which Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was supposed to hand over his post to his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak by 2010 -- which was on, then seemed to have been put on the back-burner, and was now “on again,”
  • “Stop it! We must be brave in order to be leaders”
