SHAH ALAM: Kota Raja MIC division Youth chief S. Selvadurai, 43, was strangled with a telephone cable during a robbery at his office here last night.
His wife, known only as Suriaprabha, who was with him at their shoplot office in Jalan Murni 25/16, Sri Alam, during the robbery, suffered minor injuries after being beaten by the three robbers.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Mazlan Mansor, when contacted, confirmed the incident and said the case had been classified as robbery cum murder.
He said initial investigations revealed that Selvadurai was attacked using a blunt object but said no weapon was found at the scene.

The robbers also ransacked the office. Money that the victim had withdrawn from a nearby bank earlier was missing.
